J. Kameron Carter

I recently started inching through J. Kameron Carter’s book Race: A Theological Account. I’ve found him to be an extremely insightful scholar and theologian as he discusses the origins of racial classification through a theological framing.  He’s a heavy weight, but I promise his insights are worth it. Here is a video of him giving a lecture a Columbia, let me know what ya think.

Race A theological Account is a great book. It was life changing.

i am moving through it slowly… but I am loving it. If these darn Professors would stop giving me so many reading assignments, I could get into my own stuff a little more often. Good book so far… I am in the very beginning of chapter three, but I might not be able to touch it again for a whole week.

How is the book going? I have wanted to start reading it but haven’t had the chance yet.

I honestly haven’t picked it up again, got swamped with school stuff and never got back to it. I haven’t given up reading it though, and from what I have read so far it is beastie stuff, definitely a good read.
