President Obama Honors the Indian Prime Minister at First State Dinner

This picture captures what will hopefully be a more globally diverse future for American foreign policy, in which we are strengthening America’s relationships around the world. At the least, it’s a new look for the White House.

  1. I didn’t realize we were at such odds with places like India or that we never had positive relations with them before this during other administrations… and all this as Obama prepares to escalate tensions with the Global Muslim community by sending more troops to Afghanistan… Mmmmm.

“Can you see a world at peace?” Yes, “Notes” – after Jesus comes back and not till then.

  2. Maybe Jesus is going to come back this time in our hearts. When He is alive within us, there is no judgment, or separation, no terrorism or other reasons to go to war. We become the Lord’s peacemakers.

  3. “Maybe Jesus is going to come back this time in our hearts.”

Which can be construed to apply to the Holy Spirit He promised to believers when he departed.

“When He is alive within us, there is no judgment, or separation, no terrorism or other reasons to go to war…”

…For believers among other believers, possibly (seeing as we still only see as through a glass dimly AND because we remain (on earth) as sinners) – but between unbelievers vs believers or unbelievers vs unbelievers… we kid ourselves No?

    “We become the Lord’s peacemakers.”

Who’s jobs will not be completed before He returns if I read the Bible correctly.

  4. Hi DL,
I know my thinking and writing seems simple-minded and, obviously, I am not a Bible scholar. One of the most personal choices we make as human beings is how we make our journey with God. That’s why there is one expression per person of this profound relationship. I view that as healthy and good, whereas you may not. Sometimes people may feel they are at odds, when they’re saying something very similar, only in different ways. Anyway, God bless you and I wish you well on your journey.
